5 out of 5 stars Excellent reptile magazine   October 30, 2009
E. Martinez (Mesa, AZ United States)
I've been reading this magazine since it came out back in 1995 (I believe) and it's still THE best resource for general information on a wide variety of reptiles, especially for those of us interested in keeping them as pets.

Keep up the good work!

5 out of 5 stars best deal on the net!   October 22, 2009
Tim Jones (Lake Norman, NC)
the 2 yr subscription was $25, and amazon had a $5 off promotion, so i got two years for .83 cents an issue! Amazing magazine, with aspects ranging from a childrens page, up through technical college level genetics articles. Great magazine, great deal!

5 out of 5 stars Being a girl, I particularly love this publications for various reasons.   July 4, 2009
Wood Wren (U.S.A.)
This is a wonderful publication; probably the best on the market in this genre. I have been subscribing to this for years...well, about five or six, actually. I have yet to receive and read an issue that I did not learn something new. It keeps me up to date.

I have a particular problem when it comes to Reptiles...I am a girl. Now I have been collecting, raising, photographing and fooling with these creatures since I was a little girl. I was raised in a family quite involved with collecting, breeding and selling these creatures. I did not just fall out of a plump tree when it comes to this subject. But then being a girl presents a lot of problems. I go to many of the big shows and Reptile Meets around the country and a great number of the "guys" automatically start "talking down" to me the instant I have a question. It is either being talked down to, or what is even worse, it is being hit on. Now I agree that reptiles are sexy little beasties, hey some of them sort of turn me on working with them, but good grief! This causes problems as I am either not getting the in-depth information I am looking for or I am trying to defend my virtue and virginity (ha, ha - sorry, that is long, long gone).

This publication though has solved many of my problems. I have been able to make many contacts in the Reptile World via mail and email and have found that I get a much better response if I am a faceless and bodiless neuter. Go figure!

Anyway, that is a personal problem but I just wanted people to know that this publication is a great way of gleaning information and making contacts with out all the face to face hassles that go along with it. The photographs are wonderful (another point of interest for me) and the articles very professionally done. Even the articles that do not go into the depth I require are helpful as the tend to motivate me to do further research...always a good thing.

Love this publication!

5 out of 5 stars Best reptile publication   February 21, 2009
Terri L. Millard (Central Texas, USA)
Reptiles Magazine is hands-down the best monthly reptile publication. And Amazon has the best price! Win-win!

5 out of 5 stars Great magazine, for beginners or more advanced herpers   January 8, 2009
Laura Chatterton
I've been a subscriber for years, first when I was a beginer through when I was breeding and selling at a local show, and now that I am back to just having a few special cold blooded critters around. I like the care information and it has wonderful photographs throughout. The articles are great too for people interested in more exotic species and herps than are available to the casual herper. The advertisements can also be helpful in finding the next breeder you are interested in aquiring animals from or equipment you can't get locally. Great publication!
